Dr Wafaa Al-Shatty
Technology Transfer Fellow
Wafaa is a Technology Transfer Fellow on the TReFCo project, which investigates thermal recovery of coated materials. The TReFCo project focuses on the direct recovery of battery waste and coated materials.
She has an MSc in nanoscience to nanotechnology and a PhD in Energy Innovation (Best Thesis award 2023), both awarded by Swansea University.
Wafaa’s main expertise covers colloid, green nanoparticle and polymer synthesis, oil recovery, characterizations e.g. laboratory (physical properties for reservoir oil, FT-IR, UV-vis, TGA, DSC, SEM, EDS), advanced techniques (SANS (small angle neutron scattering), reflectometry, and SAXS.
